Falling, Falling, Falling

March 13th 2009 17:13
Oh, Obama's so popular! Look how popular he is!

News for you: Obama's less popular than President Bush was the same number of days into his presidency and his approval ratings are falling faster than any in history. Of course, they started way too high The gap between strongly approve and strongly disapprove is hovering between 6 and 9 percent, the smallest gap at this point ever.

The stock market has fallen 20% since his election. Yeah, it gained the last three days on good news from banks that are making a profit because they received government money. I don't think that's sustainable, as the rest of the economy will still be suffering after the government money stops flowing.

Support for Card Check is falling too. Many Democrats in Congress, thank goodness, are starting to come out against it. Gee, did Obama not realize that even Democrats are for the secret ballot?

There's talk now as well that cap and trade will be the first thing stripped from the budget. If that's true, that would be awesome.

Appointees are falling too! The Chief Information Officer nominee got raided yesterday by the FBI for bribery charges! Chas Freeman, Ron Kirk, Killifer, etc have all had to drop out of contention for tax issues!

I'm not trying to sound gleeful if I do. I just want all you Obama supporters out there to take a dose of realism. Read the WSJ article I linked at the beginning. Americans, by a large majority, don't want Obama to do what he's doing. I'm very, very ungleeful because I believe the pain for America has just started. I'm hopeful for myself, because of my faith that God will take care of us, but what Obama is doing has never, ever worked. It failed as recently as the 1990s in Japan.

So why did they vote for him? The mainstream media didn't tell America this what he planned to do! Fox News had people saying he would do this. Rush and Sean and Glenn and the other conservative talk show hosts all said he would do this. But if you weren't listening to them you didn't know he was mentored by the head of Hawaii's communist party, roomed in college with a Marxist, served on two education foundation boards with a Marxist. You didn't hear from the mainstream media that he promised to bankrupt the coal industry (which provides 56% of our electricity) and send energy prices skyrocketing. They didn't tell you his healthcare plans are more ambitious than Hillary's. They didn't tell you he's the most radical politician ever to win office when it comes to abortion, which he wants to see all doctors forced to offer regardless of moral of ethical objections (see my Freedom From Choice post).

Now that people are seeing he is who conservatives said he was, though you didn't hear them, support is falling.

Sure, there are plenty of diehards out there who think it's worth quadrupuling the deficit to stop carbon dioxide (come to think of it, if you stop breathing, that would help too), provide healthcare to everybody at the cost of quality care, and take over all those greedy employers. Nothing I say will convince you. It will take a government healthcare board denying a medication and you having to participate in a protest to get it back. It will take your electric bill going through the roof as the world experiences it's eleventh straight year of cooling. It will take tumbleweeds through your high tech districts as they now operate out of Ireland and Switzerland to get away from our high taxes.

It's already happening. The healthcare stuff is happening in the U.K. European nations are watching cap and trade fail horribly and their economies struggle worse than ours. And Switzerland has already started welcoming our corporations and jobs to their mountains.

You can support my blogging even more by buying my book at Author House. Unlike liberals, this is the only fantasy world I live in I know that statement tweaks some of you, but if you can't laugh at yourselves, why laugh at all?

I know several people who voted for B.O. (B.S.) and now don't want to discuss him. They're ashamed of their own foolishness at believing what they had to have known was a crock. I tried to tell every one of them what would happen, but they all had the blank stare of Kool Aid drinkers and got mad at me for challenging their "messiah" and all his phony promises.

We're in a mess, Jonathan, but at least some of us don't have to shoulder the blame for creating (or voting for) it.
