More on Arrogance

Nancy Pelosi is giving us a taste of the arrogance Democrats now have. Understand, the things I’m about to detail are coming from the Speaker of the House and her party at a time when HMO’s have a higher favorable opinion rating than Congress.
First, she blocked the Colombian free trade pact with procedure. This deal was negotiated with Congress involved. Dozens of revisions went back to Congress for them to have a chance to change this and adjust that. For years they worked on it, both Bush and Colombia believing the Democrats worked in good faith. Finally done, with compromises all around that Bush thought meant everybody was happy, she froze it.
NO VOTE! Completely undemocratic, she decided to be a Congress of ONE! This deal would have meant millions, even billions of dollars of more stuff sold to Colombia and more jobs, even union jobs, in the U.S. In just ONE example, a factory in Kentucky that makes massive, huge trucks that sell for around $200,000 has to pay $70,000 (35%) a truck to send that truck to Colombia. With the deal, they would have to pay nothing. That would mean Colombia could afford 35% more trucks, creating more jobs in America.
Second, rather than have members of her party exposed as obstructionists when it comes to increasing our nation’s oil supply, she refused to let offshore oil drilling come to a vote, despite 70% public support. Knowing that she and many of her party are in the financial pockets of extreme environmentalists, she used procedure, again, to block a vote. Her claim on This Week is that she blocked it because it would do nothing to lower oil prices.
NO VOTE! Completely undemocratic, when George S. asked her why they didn’t go ahead and vote and see what happened, she just repeated that it wouldn’t change prices. When George Bush removed the executive ban, oil prices dropped 13% in three days, before the reports on demand came out. She is so full of lies that it makes me just shake my head.
Third, she’s pushing the “fairness doctrine,” which would require privately owned radio stations using public airwaves they pay for already, to put on an equal number of talk show hosts from each side of the political spectrum. Why do they want this? Because the liberal talk shows have bombed! Ever heard of Air America? Didn’t think so, because it bombed. It was so filled with hate and vitriol and no facts, it lost it’s own listeners.
SHE DOESN’T WANT OUR WALLETS TO VOTE! Completely undemocratic Pelosi wants to play dictator and tell stations that no matter what their numbers, their advertisers, their stock holders or their owners say, they will put on what the government tells them to. If a liberal talk show host made enough sense to keep an audience and draw advertisers, they’d already be nationally syndicated. These are businesses, they will do what makes them money.
Continuing on, using Harry Reid:
Fourth, Senate Republicans left ONE Clinton nominee unapproved before he left office. ONLY ONE. Harry Reid currently has over FIFTEEN nominations locked up in procedure. The Federal Elections Commission can’t even investigate their bogus charges against McCain because they won’t approve Bush’s appointees. It’s common courtesy that unless a nominee is egregiously horrible, you vet and pass appointees. There are Federal courts all over this country without judges because of Harry Reid.
NO VOTE! Completely undemocratic Harry won’t allow the nominations to even come up for a vote and allow voters to decide if they approve of the choices. Now in power, he refuses to show the same courtesy Republicans showed Clinton of putting them to a vote.
I think their party is named wrong. It should be the Undemocratics.
By the way, Nancy Pelosi comes from San Fransicko. This town is now shutting down the busiest street in the city to force people to take public transit and slowing access to some of the businesses that provide all those taxes. They are leaving the bathhouses open. In that city you have to put your kid in private school if you get a “transgendered” teacher for your child, but if you preach certain parts of the word of God it’s called hate speech. They are pushing allowing medical marijuana, while banning cigarettes. They will soon require all restaurants to declare themselves trans fat free and ban soda because they are trying to make everybody fit, while telling parents they have to accept the homosexual agenda.
Obama and the Democrats will try to make you envious of the rich, mad at big oil, hate hedge funds, etc, etc. The supporter of the anti-free speech site mediamatters.org is George Soros, a hedge fund billionaire. 70% of our GDP is spending, and the top 1% do 25% of the spending. That’s a lot of jobs making their stuff. They provide a huge percentage of the employment in the country. The top 50% pay almost all of the taxes.
Don’t fall for it. Democrats aren’t the party of change, they’re the party of do what they say or else.

No, I said she was undemocratic, not even letting Congress vote on the people's business because she's afraid the outcome will be against her personal beliefs. She has so little respect for Americans opinions and intelligence and our ability to make our own choices, she takes away the choices. She treats us like children.
I didn't even go into her support for the unions attempts to get rid of the secret ballot so they can bully workers into joining. There's a whole 'nother blog post there.
