Palin and Taft

A lot of people don't know that President Taft started out a Republican, serving after Teddy, but ran as an independent in 1912, losing to our first socialist president, Woodrow Wilson (who was blocked by the legislature from putting in his programs).
Sarah Palin should run as an independent in 2012, and convince Mitt Romney to run with her. Here's why:
- Republicans have turned themselves into conservative democrats, especially in the eyes of the public, with their support and pushing of bailouts and such. Without a distinct difference, it will be hard to get people's attention.
- She already has a record of fighting BOTH parties when there is corruption.
- She will further enhance the "I'm not from Washington" appeal that Americans will be craving after four more years of Democrat and Republican bumbling.
- It's time for a new conservative movement, and the Republicans lack the will to do it.
- She has the name recognition, historic potential as first woman president, and charisma to do it.
- I'd vote for her
