Which is it? Success, Failure or Both?

Don't count your chickens yet liberals:
Obama Sunday on This Week:
"The surge has been even more successful than George Bush or John McCain thought it would be." Of course, he would never complement them, he's setting himself up to say later to his radical followers that it's all Gen Patreus, Bush couldn't have made this happen. In other words, Bush is responsible for his FEMA head mishandling Katrina, but not for the general he put in Iraq
But wait, it's gets better for all us Conservatives! Nancy Pelosi on The View:
"The surge has failed. It was supposed to bring the parties together in a political solution." Of course, she was partially pandering to her audience. That really jives with Obama last week in Jerusalem:
"The security in Iraq was not achieved by the surge but by the political reconciliation of the factions and the standing down of the Sadr Militia."
So which is it Liberals? Is it the result of the military success of the surge or the political success of the Iraqis or has the surge failed because there hasn't been political success? It makes me want to laugh AND cry.
If John McCain can't beat this candidate and this pandering, say what people want to hear, do nothing Demcratic party, be sure that over the next four years, they will beat themselves. I just hope the Republican inaugurated on January 20, 2013, if Obama somehow wins, has enough American culture and values left to salvage.
